Barr Nsikak Titus Ekure was born on September 9, 1955. An indigene of Ikot Obong Edong Village in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. He had his secondary school education in Hope Waddell Training Institution, Calabar.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Social Sciences) Degree of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile Ife, and an MBA Degree of the University of Port Harcourt. He is a chartered stockbroker of the Institute of Stockbrokers and also holds an LL.B Degree of the University of Calabar. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993 as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Mr. Ekure has over 29 years experience in finance, banking, hospitality and real estate 20 of which have been spent in senior management positions in various organizations.
He has held several senior management positions in the banking industry including Senior Manager Eastern Area Office, ICON Limited (Merchant Bankers), Senior Manager Icon Stockbrokers Limited, and Deputy General Manager – Co-operative Development Bank, Principal Consultant, Grand Treasurers Limited, Managing Director/Chief Executive of First Trustees Nigeria Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Plc and now Executive Chairman NEEANI Investment Limited.
Mr. Ekure has also attended management and leadership training in most of the reputable business schools in the world such as: IMD, Lausanne; INSEAD, France; Lagos Business School, Lagos; STANDFORD Business School, California; Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; Kellogg Business School, North Western University, Chicago; J.F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Boston; New York Institute of Finance, New York; and London Business School, London.
A Paul Harris fellow of Rotary International, he has served on the Boards of Companies such as: UACN Property Development Plc; JDI Investment Limited (owners of NOVOTEL Port Harcourt: Anchorage Leisure Limited (owners of RADISSON BLU Hotel, Lagos); 1004 Estates Limited, Lagos. He also served as a member of the Investment Committee of Capital Alliance Private Equity- the first indigenous Venture Capital Fund in Nigeria. He is a member of the governing Board of Ritman College and Chairman Elim Microfinance Bank Limited, Lagos. He is an independent member of the Investment Committee of Union Homes Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). He also served as a member of the Securities & Exchange Commission’s Technical Committee of Demutualisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He is also currently a member and Chairman of UPDC REIT Investment Committee.; a Director of First Bank, Senegal ( formerly, International Commercial Bank, Senegal) and Director Viva Finance Limited.
A member of Ikoyi club 1938, Nsikak loves to read, play tennis and squash.

He is married to Dr (Mrs.) Ekanem Ekure a consultant Paediatrician and Associate Professor in the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos and the marriage is blessed with three children.
